The Good Coffee
The Good Coffee is one of Kirche in Aktion’s Kingdom Projects. We’ve integrated business and ministry opportunities by launching coffee shops and church plants that share a space and a goal – to care for the community surrounding this location.

Kirche in Aktion currently owns and operates two coffee shops, each of which share their building with a church plant. We’re looking to start 10 more coffee shop church plants by 2023 .
Public Worship Service
OUR CAFÉS OFFER PUBLIC SPACES IN WHICH KIRCHE IN AKTION CAN HOLD WORSHIP SERVICES.
These occur during regular business hours so that those going about their daily lives may find themselves at a church service. Worship in public spaces is one of the main purposes of Kirche in Aktion. These coffee shops allow us to own the spaces where we worship while still making the space approachable for those not yet comfortable with the church.
Integrated Model
Integrating a revenue-producing coffee shop with a church plant benefits both the shop and the church. The church rents space from the shop, reducing overhead and enabling the coffee shop to sell high-quality, fair trade, and organic products. The church is also able to afford a much nicer space than if they rented a separate facility, and they are placed in direct contact with their community.
"With the concept of the Good Coffee, we are selling GEPA fair trade coffee in a café and at the same time we want to assume our social responsibility in the respective city. Everyone is welcome, and even if someone can't afford coffee or something to eat, they won't be turned away. People who want to start a new life from a difficult social environment have the opportunity to get a job with us. We don't look at the references, everyone who really wants a chance, gets a chance."
